Dear Friends and Family of EMM,
I am now writing this from my new office here in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Rachel and I cannot express how excited, relieved, and ready we are to be here in Mexico. Rachel and I are getting our apartment ready and should be moving into the apartment from the main house soon. We are also working on building relationships with our neighbors, local vendors, and brothers and sisters in Christ here in Mexico.
Edward and Olivia are learning the home and enjoying playing in the courtyard. Jose and Pablo both agree that Edward is the Energizer Bunny. Edward and Olivia learned their first word only in Spanish this week, pinzas (clothespin), we had to teach them what pinzas meant in English. They both enjoy helping Rachel and I out around the house and going to the market. I am asking for continued prayers for Edward and Olivia as we continue to transition to a new culture. Áine and Iona are trying to be as mobile as possible. They have not made much improvements on walking yet though. They are really enjoying the food here in Mexico. We recently got them their first water cups, and they really really enjoy drinking water.
Jose has been helping us out almost daily, either answering language questions, helping us figure out where we can go for something, finding some great local food, or someone to talk to. We greatly appreciate Jose's help and support. We ask for you to pray for Jose as he is doing his current duties as pastor of the Church, but also has been helping us out and getting lots and lots of questions from Edward and Olivia when he is in his office.
I would like to encourage you to pray for not only us, Jose, Emanuel Mexico Mission, but for your own community. Ask God what you can do to serve and fill a need in your own community. Not all needs are big, some can be small. Remember to read your Bible today.
Thank you all for your support, we would not be able to do this without an entire community coming together.
