Hundreds of children live on the streets of San Luis Potosi Mexico (see AP News story below).
These children are abandoned, abused and homeless. Some have lost family members and there is no-one else to care for them. Some are sent to the streets because the families don’t have the resources to care for them. Many run away due to abuse. But they all have one thing in common, they have no family to love or care for them. For 50 years, Casa de Niños has provided these children with a loving, caring christian family. A family that gives the children hope for a better life and a second chance to have meaningful relationships that they can count on. They would not find this on the streets or on their own.
As part of the Casa de Niños family children receive a loving christian home, mentoring, safe shelter, food, clothing, medical/phycological care, broader life experiences and education. Once the children discover that love rules in our home they melt into the routine of a real family lifestyle. With that discovery we help break the chain of abuse & neglect so they can grow and someday form a beautiful Christian family of their own. |
